1.Who are Bryon and Mark?
Bryon and Mark were two boys who lived in the 1960's. Bryon was the bigger one of the two who hustled in pool to make money because his mom was in the hospital. Mark was smaller with golden eyes and hair, he stole a lot of things and hot-wired many cars
2.Who are the two young people Bryon meets at the hospital?
The two people Bryon met at the hospital was Cathy and Mike. Mike was one of the residents at the hospital because he was attacked by a group of thugs and no one visited him so his mom wanted Bryon to talk with him. Cathy worked at the hospital's snack bar and was M&M's oldest sister.
3.What kind of relationship does Bryon have with Charlie?
The relationship between Bryon and Charlie was a friendly one, Charlie let Bryon go into his bar even though he was under-aged.
4.What happens at the dance?
During the dance, where Bryon brought Cathy, Mark and Curtis got into a fight with a guy who was paid to fight them. At the end of the fight, Bryon discovers that Mark was hit over the head with a bottle and needs stitches.

Bryon discovered that they both were changing and were growing apart.

When Bryon and Mark hustling two men from Texas and when the two guys found out they tried to shoot them but Charlie was there to save them, but he was shot. Bryon always felt after that what if and Mark thinks that it's just in the past and can't do anything about it.

They both don't like each other because Cathy doesn't like his personality and Mark doesn't like her because of what she thinks of him.

Mark cuts Angel's hair off when she was passed out because she told the guy to beat Curtis up.

Bryon discovers that Mark only thinks in the present and doesn't care about the past or future.
10.What happens to Bryon at Terry Jones’ house? How does his attitude change?
At Terry's house, Bryon gets beat up by Tim and Curtis Shepard for cutting Angel's hair. It changes him now because he doesn't want to fight anymore and doesn't hate the Shepard's for what they did.
11.In chapter nine, what happens to M&M? Why does this move Bryon?
M&M takes acid and goes crazy and starts talking about spiders so Cathy and Bryon take him to the hospital. This moves Bryon because he fells like M&M is a brother to him.
12.What shocking discovery does Bryon make in Mark’s bedroom (chapter 10)? What does he do?
Bryon finds hundreds of pills under Mark's bed that he has been selling to make money for his family. He calls the police immediately and waits for Mark to come home.
13.How does Bryon’s relationship with his friends and his attitude toward life completely change?
Bryon's relationship with his friends change completely because he does not care about Cathy anymore and when Mark was put into jail he didn't talk to him for months and when he did Mark didn't care for him anymore. Now his attitude towards life is always "what if."
14.How does Bryon feel at the end of the book?
At the end of the book he does not care for anyone and only wants school to start again.
15.What do you think about this book and what life message does it teach?
I think it was a good book because it gave life lessons on what can happen to you if you are not careful to what friends you make.
